The Clinical Research Project Manager II plays a pivotal role in the effective planning and execution of various clinical and academic research initiatives. This position is essential for ensuring that projects overseen by the Department of Research Support are meticulously organized, monitored, and delivered punctually while adhering to established research protocols. The Clinical Research Project Manager II is tasked with maintaining ongoing communication with the ATSU research community and external collaborators, including senior leadership, faculty, clinicians, biostatisticians, students, and research participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, strategize, implement, and assist with a diverse range of research projects and events to effectively achieve study goals, comply with protocols and regulatory standards, and safeguard the confidentiality of research data.
  • Ensure that research project activities, contracts, and agreements are executed in accordance with ATSU policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Formulate, adhere to, and revise standard operating procedures for research projects.
  • Organize and lead team meetings with the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure research activities align with established timelines.
  • Provide expert consultation to principal investigators and other research team members regarding study-specific research methodologies.
  • Facilitate educational research within ATSU's schools and programs, collaborating with relevant faculty and curriculum departments.
  • Create promotional materials for studies/projects and enhance the visibility of the Department of Research Support through presentations, informational sessions, and updates on the ATSU internal webpage.
  • Design and distribute surveys for research data collection, grant applications, and university assessments.
  • Remain knowledgeable about Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and ethical standards such as HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in leading and organizing multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a positive, energetic, and tactful demeanor.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, and teamwork capabilities, coupled with excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development, including certifications such as Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
