The Clinical Nurse II is a vital member of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center team, providing direct care to patients and families with compassion and expertise. Key Responsibilities:- Provides direct care to patients, making necessary nursing judgments and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely and effective care.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, using active listening and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and patient-centered care.
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- License Registered Nurse required; Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
- 1-3 years related work experience required; experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred.
- Decision Making: Ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.
- Independence of Action: Ability to follow precedents and procedures; may set priorities and organize work within general guidelines.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
