NDT Penetrant Inspector

### Job Summary

As a NDT Penetrant Inspector at Ducommun, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of manufactured parts. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate parts for surface cracks and imperfections using Liquid Penetrant inspection.

### Key Responsibilities

* Spray, brush, or dip parts in liquid penetrant
* Allow penetrant to dwell on parts for a specified period
* Perform penetrant final rinse with water spray
* Place parts in development tank for allotted time
* Evaluate parts under UV light to detect minor surface cracks and/or indications of surface imperfections or defects
* Perform post-penetrant cleaning of parts before forwarding to next process/department
* Accurately record required information in customer log books
* Handle and manage hazardous waste generated in your work area

### Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred
* Level II training certification to work independently
* Ability to read and interpret customer specifications/drawings/prints
* Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
* Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
* Annual eye exam and baseline hearing test required

### Work Environment

You will be working in a 100% manufacturing environment, regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required in designated areas.
