Lead LVN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead LVN to join our team at Nazareth House in West Los Angeles. As a Lead LVN, you will be responsible for supervising and developing the resident services staff, maintaining a medication system, and performing assessments to determine resident needs.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and develop the resident services staff according to Nazareth House policies and procedures.
- Maintain a medication system that adheres to state, federal, and company laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Perform assessments and reassessments to determine resident needs and establish appropriate service plans.
- Complete daily Quality Enhancement reviews to ensure the department is meeting state regulations and Nazareth House policies.
- Act as a contact for issues related to resident care within the community.
- Ensure adherence to company policy and State Health and Safety Codes, and federal regulations for assisted living communities.
- Schedule and supervise staff; available to cover staffing when needed.
- Administer medications as allowed per state specific guidelines when required.
- Provide training and orientation to new assisted living Care staff employees and ongoing training to current Care staff employees.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, department heads, resident services staff, and Executive Director as needed.
- Maintain positive relations with residents' families and physicians.
- Current and valid state certification as a licensed RN or LVN in the state of California.
- 2 years as a supervisor, manager, or Lead in an Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
- Experience in direct patient care and assessments/observation of clinical conditions.
- Experience in managing people in the healthcare field preferred.
- Experience with employee scheduling preferred.
- Must have a hospitality mindset, as well as a customer service focused approach to care.
- Should have previous experience in a geriatric setting such as Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Long-Term Care.
- Experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or a related industry.
- CPR certified and knowledge of basic first aid.
- Experience coordinating educational events.
- Able to work flexible work hours due to demands of position.
- Position requires driving responsibilities, therefore you must possess a valid driver's license.
- Professional in appearance and conduct.
- Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to beginning employment.
