Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our team at RBC Bearings Incorporated. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect and measure aerospace parts, gears, and splines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming and Operation of CMMs: Develop and execute CMM programs to inspect and measure aerospace parts, gears, and splines, ensuring conformance to specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspection and Measurement: Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of aerospace parts, gears, and splines using CMMs, identifying any defects or anomalies.
  • Process Development and Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and optimize CMM programs and processes, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Tooling and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate CMMs and other equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot CMM-related issues and ensure that all measurements and inspections meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in CMM programming and operation, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and CMM programming using Calypso.
  • Experience with Zeiss CMMs and other CMM equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
