Pediatric Dentist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our team at Sonrisas Dental Health, Inc. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to children and adolescents in a safe and welcoming environment.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for pediatric dentistry and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive dental services, including routine cleanings, fillings, and extractions, as well as more complex procedures such as crowns and root canals.
Responsibilities:- Examine and diagnose dental/oral conditions in children and adolescents
- Prescribe and carry out dental/oral treatment, or direct others in carrying out treatment
- Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient's electronic dental record
- Complete referrals, Electronic Health Record data collections, and other records or paperwork as required
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and protocols governing the practice of dentistry
- Educate patients and their caregivers in oral health-related conditions and disease prevention
- Collaborate with the Dental Director or independently to lead clinical team members
- Graduation from an accredited dental school (DDS or equivalent) required
- Active credentials with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry required
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of CA required
- Current CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges required, hospital privileges preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain Professional malpractice insurance
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English required, effective oral communication skills in other languages preferred
Prolonged sitting or standing may be required. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination normally associated with the practice of primary care dentistry will be performed on a repetitive basis.
