Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bookseller to join our team. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and promoting our products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and stockrooms.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and display creation to promote products and create an engaging shopping experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on new releases, bestsellers, and staff picks to make informed recommendations to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide support during peak periods.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve product knowledge and sales skills.

Requirements

  • Passionate about books and reading.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
