Key Responsibilities- Deliver dialysis treatments to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring accurate and timely administration of medications and fluids.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant data to identify potential complications and take prompt action to prevent or address them.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis procedures, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Experience in intensive care unit (ICU), critical care unit (CCU), emergency room (ER), or medical surgical (Med Surg) settings is highly desirable.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification is a plus.
