Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Connections Academy. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide virtual speech therapy to K-12 students who are enrolled in our virtual public schools. You will work from your home, connecting with students using webcams and web conferencing software, while utilizing our online Education Management System to manage your caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality speech language services to assigned students, supporting program implementation and planning individual and group therapy in a virtual environment.
  2. Be an expert on assigned school and state-specific policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services, maintaining a positive working relationship between the LiveSpeech team and the schools and programs we serve.
  3. Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance, communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches of students with speech/language needs, and consult with teachers to coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction.
  4. Special Education case management for select students, including scheduling, organizing, and conducting IEP-related meetings in a virtual environment, as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in our Education Management System and special education software, adhering to all laws and company policies regarding data protection and security.
  6. Obtain and maintain all required licenses and clearances, complete required professional development, training, and courses to maintain credentials and meet company compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Valid South Carolina licensure in Speech Pathology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances.
  • 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting.
  • Strong technology skills and high degree of flexibility and ability to work independently.
