Job Title: Turndown Attendant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in preparing for and performing turndown service.
  • Ensure guest rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized according to established standards.
  • Maintain turndown carts and linen closets in a clean and organized manner.
  • Follow the designated sequence of room assignments and notify supervisors of discrepancies.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Turn in lost and found items according to department standards.
  • Report items of value left unsecured in hallways and guestrooms.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and hotel policies and procedures regarding emergencies, safe work practices, and wearing of protective gear as necessary.
  • Perform a visual inspection before leaving any areas.
  • Observe guidelines for using and maintaining all pertinent equipment.
  • Read departmental log book and bulletin board on a daily basis.
  • Follow procedures for issuance and return of room keys, prioritizing of rooms, record-keeping, and status updates.
  • Handle guest complaints according to Star Service Standards, notifying supervisors of actions taken.
  • Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner.

  • Notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance.
  • Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees.
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures.
  • Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
  • Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules.
  • Recycle whenever possible.
  • Remain current with hotel information and changes.
  • Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
Qualifications:
  • Service orientation.
  • Able to work as part of a dynamic quality-driven team.
  • Basic English language skills.
  • Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively during the entire shift.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
