Position Purpose:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, functionality, and security of assigned facilities in accordance with established standards and policies.
Schedule:
8 hours/day - 5 days/week - 52 weeks/year
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with the physical ability to perform essential job functions.
- Competency in spelling, writing, and basic English communication skills.
- Experience in maintaining school facilities to meet health and safety standards.
- Strong work history with good attendance and performance records.
- Able to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- A comprehensive job description is available upon request from the Facilities Office.
- Occasional work from ladders.
- Rarely working from scaffolding.
- Frequent lifting of 25-30 pounds to waist level.

- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in both quiet and noisy environments), taste, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
