Position Summary
The Construction Site Manager will be responsible for all on-site activities, including the recruitment and management of field personnel. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, particularly in the water industry, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to develop effective construction procedures, considering budget constraints and timelines.
- Conduct field layout and surveying for structures, piping, and process equipment as necessary.
- Coordinate activities with various trades and subcontractors, ensuring seamless execution of work plans and adherence to specifications.
- Monitor ongoing work to guarantee compliance with industry standards and HCI's quality benchmarks.
- Ensure a safe working environment by implementing best practices and adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs and regulatory compliance reports.
- Collaborate with project management to uphold project schedules and financial plans.
- Facilitate safety discussions and participate in regular meetings with project stakeholders.
- Commit to continuous professional development to enhance technical expertise.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong relationship management skills with engineers and owners.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and subcontractor oversight.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Physical capability to navigate project sites, including rough terrain and elevated structures.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment for safe and efficient project execution.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaborative decision-making.
- Leadership and organizational skills, with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant management software.
- Willingness to travel as project needs arise.
