Position Overview:
As a key member of the cardiology team, you will provide exceptional patient care through advanced ultrasound procedures.
Location: UCHealth YVMC YampaCare Cardiology
Department: YVMC Yampacare Cardiology
Employment Type: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts
Compensation: $58.08 per hour, based on relevant experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Certification as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- State licensure as required by law.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid upon start date.
- Deliver high-quality patient care by performing various ultrasound procedures and ensuring patient understanding of the process.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate expertise by mentoring new staff in imaging practices and UCHealth protocols.
- Embrace continuous learning in a fast-paced, innovative clinical setting.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met at all points of care.
- Review patient medical history and physician orders, manage scheduling, and educate patients about procedures and equipment.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to any changes.
- Select optimal exposure factors and imaging parameters while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct quality control procedures on imaging equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
- Position patients effectively and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results for quality assurance.
