We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Brewster Central School District. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and direct telephone calls, schedule appointments, and act as a receptionist.
  • Manage correspondence, including receiving, distributing, and filing documents.
  • Process and assemble data for further processing, utilizing office equipment as needed.
  • Provide routine information to teachers, counselors, parents, and students via telephone calls.
  • Maintain records of supplies issued to school district personnel and perform incidental typing and/or data entry.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to plan and organize clerical work, type, and perform data entry.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain records and compile report information.
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, accuracy, and ability to work well with others.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent diploma.
  • Two years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
