Emergency Room Nurse

At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team.
Job Summary:The Emergency Room RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans as needed.
- Provide education to patients and families on health conditions and self-care.
- Function as a psychiatric emergency nurse, triage nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor as assigned.
- Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self-development.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Proficient in use of computer software to include electronic patient records. Must have ability to use internet for literature searches regarding care for patients.
Previous ED experience preferred. Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license. Current BLS required upon hire. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. CPI required within 1 year of hire. TNCC, CEN strongly preferred.
