Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Rittenhouse Village at Northside. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with their service plans and medical orders.
  • Monitor residents for signs of medication side effects and report any concerns to the Nurse or Health Care Coordinator.
  • Document all medication administration, including refusals and missed doses.
  • Restock medication carts and maintain the cleanliness of the medication room.
  • Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
  • Participate in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
  • Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous chemicals immediately.
Qualifications
  • Certified Qualified Medication Aid license in the State of Indiana.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification preferred
  • First Aid Certification preferred
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Insulin certification preferred.
Work Schedule

6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., two to three days per week, and every other weekend.
