Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the City of Atlanta. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operations and maintenance of our fleet vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Coordinate and direct work schedules and systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Assist with complex repairs and troubleshoot issues with lower-level employees
  • Manage and analyze operational needs to ensure optimal productivity and service levels
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations
Requirements
  • 10 years of automotive and diesel repair experience
  • 6 years or more as a senior or lead technician
  • Associate's degree in technical or vocational course of study in automotive repair
  • Valid State of Georgia CDL License or ability to obtain within 6-month probationary period
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications in Electrical Diagnostics and Preventative Maintenance
