Role Purpose:

The Collateral Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that all credit products are secured against potential losses. This position collaborates with member financial institutions to guarantee that borrowings are fully collateralized and comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist members in the pledging and releasing of securities and cash collateral, including the submission of collateral information to the Bank.
  • Review daily collateral processing and market valuation to ensure adequate coverage for outstanding advances.
  • Advise members on eligible collateral assets and assess the appropriateness of collateral for all member institutions.
  • Coordinate the collateral delivery process with the Bank's safekeeping department or third-party custodians.
  • Monitor collateral reports to assist management in analyzing pledged asset composition.
  • Manage collateral aspects of member mergers and loan securitizations.
  • Support the development and testing of new collateral-related software systems or enhancements as required.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a financial institution, ideally in data processing, lending, financial analysis, or customer service.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Bank staff and members.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks, organizing workflow, and completing projects independently.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other applications for financial data analysis.
  • No civil or criminal convictions that pose a risk to Bank security.
  • Ability to work full-time and uphold the Bank's Guiding Principles.
