Your Role with Leidos QTC Health ServicesAs an Audiologist, you will apply the principles of hearing science and audiology to formulate an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam for a unique claimant population of past and present military service members.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and interpret various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, including air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests.
- Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss and state the prognosis.
- Operate computerized programs and utilize application software and databases to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.
- Conduct otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
- Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB.
- Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).
- Travel up to 50% to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country.
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au. D) from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years of clinic practice experience.
- Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shall be unrestricted.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certification.
- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc.).
