About the Role

  • Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Intern

Responsibilities

">
  • Assist with the coordination of Waste and Waste Reduction
  • Coordinate the review EHS programs and update policies as required
  • Provides EHS administrative support to Safety Data Sheet management, New Substance risk review, New Equipment risk reviews, and Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards
  • All other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

">
  • High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
  • Working towards College/Technical School diploma or university degree in an EHS related discipline
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
  • Must be located within 50 miles of the Greenville, North Carolina, site to be considered
  • Position requires the ability to occasionally move filled 55-gallon drums in a safe manner
  • Position requires work with hazardous chemicals
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and operate a fork truck
  • Position requires the ability to safely manipulate objects using one's hands and arms as well as bend, squat, reach, pull, push, climb, walk and stand for extended periods
  • This position requires that a respirator be worn for your safety, and as such, employment is contingent upon being able to complete a medical evaluation with satisfactory results. The medical evaluation is conducted via an external vendor assigned by Catalent.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
