Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Interstate Waste Services, Inc. as a Heavy Duty Equipment Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel heavy trucks and engines, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components.
• Work with diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective repair processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to Corporate and OSHA standards.

• 2+ years' experience working as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing DPF systems, diagnostic software, and other heavy-duty diesel equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
