Senior Registered Nurse - Rapid Response Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our Rapid Response Team at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Downtown Campus.

About the Role

As a Senior Registered Nurse on our Rapid Response Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to respond to adult inpatient and outpatient emergencies outside of the ICU environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe intra-hospital patient transportation of critically ill adult patients to diagnostic and procedural areas.
  • Provide continuity of care for patients during diagnostic imaging and procedures while outside of the ICU environment.
  • Provide emergent interventions to deteriorating patients in acute and intermediate care areas, as well as care to non-inpatients needing urgent or emergent care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required.
  • Meets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland.
  • One year of ICU experience is required.
  • Two years of ICU experience is highly preferred.
  • Currency in the following certifications required: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and annual Infection Control, Fire Safety, and TB training.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). (Preferred)
