Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Senior Hospice Physician Leader to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, overseeing patient care, and ensuring high-quality medical services to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Lead the clinical management of hospice patients, including comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing medical oversight.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, social workers, chaplains, etc.) to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Policy Development: Establish and maintain clinical policies and procedures that meet state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Patient Care: Provide guidance on pain management, symptom control, and palliative care to enhance the patient's quality of life.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with patients and their families to address medical concerns and provide compassionate support.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with hospice certification requirements and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the hospice program and other healthcare providers, including hospitals, nursing facilities, and private physicians.
  • Staff Oversight: Oversee the hospice clinical staff, providing mentorship and medical leadership to ensure professional development and high-quality care delivery.
  • Training: Participate in the recruitment and ongoing training of hospice medical personnel.

About this Role:

This is a part-time position, with 1 day per week commitment, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician leader to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a valid and active medical license in State of Practice.
  • Certification: Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred) or relevant field.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in hospice care or palliative medicine.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of hospice care regulations and end-of-life care best practices.
  • Skill Set: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Compassion: Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $300,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plan, direct deposit, employee discount program, and opportunities for growth and advancement.
