Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
  • Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer, Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer, Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer, Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
