Worship Arts Leader

Purpose: To guide dynamic musical worship experiences and oversee the technical aspects for weekend services at the designated location.

Personal Duties:

• Prioritize spiritual commitments by placing Jesus Christ first, followed by family, and then ministry responsibilities.
• Contribute generously to the vision and mission of Crosspoint City Church.
• Demonstrate loyalty to the church's vision and staff, fostering unity within the congregation.
• Engage with the community to share the message of Jesus and invite individuals to Crosspoint City Church.
• Adhere to the staff team covenant.
• Embody the values and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Main Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and support leaders to align with Crosspoint City's mission, values, and strategies.
• Assist in the planning of worship and production needs.
• Ensure the successful execution of Ministry Action Plans (MAPs).
• Manage the onboarding process for Worship and Production Serve Team members.
• Strive for excellence in all ministry areas.
• Effectively manage the budget and resources related to the ministry.
• Some travel may be required.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings as needed.
• Participate in training sessions as directed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Worship Leadership:

• Regularly lead worship at the designated location.
• Implement the gathering schedule as communicated through planning tools.
• Organize rehearsals to ensure high-quality worship experiences.
• Ensure all musical elements are executed with excellence.
• Develop a Leadership Development Strategy to recruit and train serve team members.
• Coordinate scheduling for musicians and worship leaders for services and events.
• Provide mentorship to Worship Serve Team members to promote growth and clarify expectations.

Production Oversight:

• Manage lighting, stage design, and operation at the location.
• Implement systems for recruiting and developing the Production Serve Team.
• Maintain inventory and care for production equipment.
• Oversee the execution of production elements for all services.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of production equipment in various settings.
• Offer guidance to Production Serve Team members to encourage development and clarify roles.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Experience in a ministry context is essential.
• Strong musical knowledge, both vocally and instrumentally.
• Alignment with Crosspoint City Church's doctrinal beliefs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to collaborative ministry.
• Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical and Work Environment: This role involves both indoor and outdoor conditions, requiring the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move flexibly. Occasionally, lifting items up to 10 pounds may be necessary. Proficiency in using office equipment is required.

Work Schedule: This is a part-time position, averaging 25 hours per week, with responsibilities primarily on Sundays and varying throughout the week.
