We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to individuals on probation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct investigations, assessments, and supervision of clients on probation
- Develop and implement case plans to guide supervision and ensure compliance with court orders
- Assess and respond to critical incidents and potential risks in the field and office
- Provide support and resources to clients, including referrals to community services and programs
- Collaborate with other judicial districts and stakeholders to ensure effective case management and community engagement
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
- Less than 1 year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, or similar field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and cases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community stakeholders
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including offices, courts, and community locations. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
