Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and document health information into the electronic medical record.
  • Respond to patient concerns and provide education on health and wellness.
  • Complete referrals, obtain pre-authorizations, and follow proper protocol for specimen collection and delivery.
  • Participate in meetings and practice huddles, and complete incoming patient forms and scan them into the electronic medical record.
  • Use Universal Precautions and follow procedures for handling exposure to blood or other body fluids.
  • Document exposure incidents and notify physicians of patients in need of intervention.
  • Ensure patient exam rooms are stocked and cleaned, and follow office protocol for ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Perform office testing, handle medical waste, and provide educational materials to patients.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, and transcribe physician orders.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • At least 10 months' work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field.
  • Proficient in obtaining manual vital signs and using an electronic health record system.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and respect, and ability to obtain and record patient data.
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology, and experience assisting physicians and nurses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program.
  • Holds National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA).
Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
