Technical Writer

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer - Documentation Expert to join our team at Supply Chain Management Consulting, LLC.

This role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual who can create and maintain technical documentation for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex technical concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality technical documentation that meets industry standards
• Conduct research and gather information from subject matter experts and engineers
• Edit and proofread technical documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Publish and distribute technical documentation to the appropriate stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Technical Documentation Specialist or similar role
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical information
• Proficiency in using authoring tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Word)
• Experience with document management systems
• Knowledge of style guides and industry standards for technical documentation (e.g., Microsoft Manual of Style, S1000D)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense industry terminology and concepts
• Experience with graphic and visual design is a plus
• Knowledge of XML and structured authoring is a plus
• Working Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software
• Knowledge of Electronic Components for RF Microwave applications
• Knowledge of coding and scripting languages, such as C++, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or other program or declarative languages
