Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role is to cultivate and sustain client partnerships grounded in trust and accountability while delivering exceptional video and speed enforcement solutions. The goal is to achieve or surpass the objectives outlined in the territory sales strategy.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify potential accounts to prioritize sales efforts effectively.
  • Initiate the sales cycle within the territory through prospecting, arranging meetings, and delivering initial presentations while comprehending the requirements of law enforcement agencies and governmental bodies.
  • Utilize SalesForce CRM extensively by documenting all significant customer interactions, preparing quotations, maintaining comprehensive records, and generating necessary reports.
  • Close sales by establishing rapport with key stakeholders and decision-makers; articulating and showcasing product and service features; addressing objections; and drafting contracts.
  • Enhance sales within existing accounts by introducing innovative products and services and exploring new applications.
  • Contribute to market strategy by observing competitive products and customer feedback.
  • Recommend optimal product solutions by identifying customer challenges.
  • Travel within the territory approximately seventy-five (75) percent of the time or more, utilizing a company-provided vehicle.
  • Work during evenings and/or weekends as required for customer demonstrations, bid openings, industry-related trade shows, training sessions, seminars, and company sales meetings.
  • Maintain territory demo equipment and manage the customer evaluation process promptly.
  • Achieve proficiency in all product offerings, including computer database and workstation setup, to demonstrate products, train customers, and certify officers and instructors as necessary.
  • Develop a robust understanding of competitive products and their comparison to company offerings.
  • Operate from a home office environment, with the space provided at personal expense.
  • Assist the Account Manager as needed to maximize the efficiency of territory sales activities.
  • Adhere to business professional attire and conduct oneself in a manner that upholds the company’s high standards of professionalism, integrity, and reputation for excellence.
  • May be required to work outside standard business hours.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and reach. Drive a vehicle during day or night. Travel across the United States via car or airplane. Frequently lift ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to sixty (60) pounds, utilizing lifting aids or assistance as needed.


Mental Demands:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information to customers and colleagues. Collaborate with a diverse range of individuals, from technical experts to law enforcement executives and end users. Maintain a working knowledge of products and services. Adapt to a dynamic, action-oriented environment. Monitor rapidly changing competition and market trends. Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with key performance indicators related to video sales performance.


Working Conditions:

This position involves working from a home office and traveling to customer locations and other company-sponsored events.


Travel Requirements:

Overnight travel is necessary approximately seventy-five (75) percent of the time or more, depending on workload. A typical workweek consists of eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days a week, with some evenings and weekends required. The role may involve working twenty-five (25) percent from a home office and seventy-five (75) percent traveling to customer and/or other sites based on workload.
