Job Title: Renovation Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Renovation Specialist to join our team at Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for completing assigned renovation work, including lifting, carrying, cleaning, loading, and unloading materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Approach all encounters with guests, owners, and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with our Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper name tag when working.
  • Comply at all times with Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Follow all resort and departmental procedures and policies.
  • Report emergencies and unusual situations immediately according to policy.
  • Handle all assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and helpfulness at all times.
  • Clean and prepare renovation sites.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Dig trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes.
  • Handle furniture and guestroom materials with care to avoid damage.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
  • Employees must, at all times, be friendly, courteous, and helpful to guests, employees, and managers.
  • Cut grass, trim shrubs, plant flowers and bushes in order to maintain an attractive property.
  • Remove trash from all areas by hand or by emptying trash containers.
  • Point out and assist with eliminating safety concerns.
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Requirements:
  • Constantly adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
  • Constantly lift and carry heavy objects up to 100 pounds.
  • Constantly inform supervisor on job and project status.
  • Constantly load and unload furniture and materials.
  • Constantly maintain work areas clean and organized.
  • Constantly empty trash cans and pick up trash from outdoor areas.
  • Constantly report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Frequently complete other duties assigned by supervisor to include cross-training.
  • Occasionally attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Occasionally assist in other departments (facilities, laundry, engineering, housekeeping, etc).
