The incumbent will uphold established patient care standards and protocols through ongoing quality enhancement and comprehensive quality management initiatives within the clinic.
About Southeast Alabama Medical Center
Southeast Alabama Medical Center, a 420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma facility, is actively seeking a board-certified or board-eligible general neurologist to become part of its Neurospine Center as a hospital-employed physician. The physician will manage patients in a hospital-affiliated, Neurosciences outpatient clinic conveniently situated on the hospital grounds. Neurotesting services are readily available within the clinic. The ideal candidate will have subcertification in EMG/NCV or have completed a neurology residency with at least six months dedicated to EMG/NCV training.
Qualifications Required:
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- Ability to obtain an Alabama medical license
- Preferred postgraduate training or experience in EMG/NCV
Practice Highlights:
- Outpatient-focused practice with no on-call, weekend, or holiday duties
- Access to interventional neuroradiology for treating various conditions, with collaborative efforts alongside Neurosurgeons, interventional Neuroradiologists, and Radiation Oncologists for a comprehensive care approach
- Collaboration with Neurointerventionalists and Neurohospitalists within the Neuroscience team
- Provision of stroke teleneurology services
- Availability of a Neuromuscular Rehabilitation & Balance Center
- Opportunity to mentor Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents, as well as DO medical students
