Job Summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
  • Inspect, maintain, install, calibrate, and troubleshoot building systems and equipment.
  • Operate high-pressure boilers, chillers, and generators.
  • Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and test equipment commonly used by technicians.
  • Prioritize work to ensure the needs of patients come first.
  • Complete work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
  • Record work time electronically in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain inventory and recommend supplies and equipment for purchase.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-year associate's degree in MEP trade or Certified Healthcare Mechanic Certification.
  • 3 years of experience in a related field or completion of MEP trade apprenticeship program or equivalent.
  • Driver's license required.
