Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neuroscience ICU Manager to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating the ongoing development and productivity of our Neuroscience ICU unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieving organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development and productivity of the Neuroscience ICU unit
  • Assist the Director with operational planning and provide daily work direction to achieve unit-level objectives
  • Contribute to budget development and maintain responsibility for achieving budgetary objectives
  • Supervise staff, including hiring, coaching, and counseling, and assure performance appraisals are completed
  • Maintain quality patient care through the use of clinical expertise, nursing process, and effective supervisorial skills
  • Participate in both unit and level of care quality assurance processes
  • Review or coordinate the review of quality variance reports for designated units, identify trends, and develop action plans for resolution
  • Assure that the standards of care are implemented and evaluated and updated
  • Trend patient satisfaction and implement action plans as necessary to achieve patient satisfaction
  • Identify and trend needs of the customers served and SCH system regarding service line development
  • Assure delivery of quality patient care that meets all accreditation and regulatory standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • 3 years in a leadership position
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • 2 years management experience
  • 3 years clinical experience
