About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Department Manager to join our team at Recreational Equipment Inc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for coaching and motivating our sales teams to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members.
  • Handle training, coaching, recognition, and performance management to ensure team members are equipped to meet sales and service goals.
  • Direct the execution of our core standards and overall visual direction to maintain a high-quality store environment.
  • Drive sales through all channels by maximizing selling behaviors and making business adaptations to increase sales and service.
  • Communicate key company strategies and changes to teams as needed to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Recruit and develop diverse talent from within and outside the organization to build a strong and inclusive team.
  • Inspire a customer-centric culture by recognizing and rewarding team members for their contributions.
  • Develop top performers and evaluate performance, providing coaching and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Build teams through effective employee development, involvement, and communication to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of successful retail management experience (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Open to feedback and other viewpoints in the spirit of supporting the business.
  • Ability to use business understanding, innovative thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems and make recommendations.
  • Produce quality work by setting effective goals and establishing priorities.
  • Organize and use resources to meet deadlines, keeping others informed about plans and progress.
  • Engage and influence others to accomplish worthwhile organizational goals.
