Room Attendant Position Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all assigned guest accommodations and common areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and order. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences by adhering to established procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms according to company standards, which includes changing linens, making beds, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  2. Perform dusting, sweeping, and trash removal in guest rooms and public areas to maintain a pristine environment.
  3. Restock guestroom supplies and amenities as required to ensure guest satisfaction.
  4. Organize and maintain the linen closet in a tidy and efficient manner, assisting with inventory management as needed.
  5. Respond promptly to guest inquiries regarding room cleanliness and amenities, ensuring their needs are met.
  6. Report any maintenance issues or damages in guest rooms and common areas to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Handle guest complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  8. Adhere to safety policies and procedures, reporting any potential hazards to management immediately.
  9. Maintain compliance with the hotel’s Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) program and be familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Qualifications:

No formal education is required; however, prior experience in a housekeeping role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high levels of guest satisfaction.

Basic math skills and the ability to read and understand simple instructions are necessary. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as this role may involve working weekends and holidays.

All team members must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
