We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to provide athletic training services and medical management for athletes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Athletic Training, state licensure, and ongoing professional development.
Job SummaryThe Sports Medicine Specialist will be responsible for preventative and emergency care, documentation of treatments, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This position requires flexibility and adaptability to adjust to fluid situations.
About the Role- Provide athletic trainer services for events and competitions
- Coordinate, manage, and implement medical and risk management of athletes, including preventative care and emergency care
- Document injuries, illnesses, treatment, and rehabilitation according to JAG Athletic Training policy and state licensure standards
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy professionals and refer patients when necessary
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program
- Completion of the BOC certification and maintenance of 50 CEUs every two years
- Licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer
- Current BLS certification and Personal Liability Insurance
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include exclusive access to Continuing Education credits, Supervising Physician Standing Orders, Discounted CPR certification, and Supportive Leadership.
