Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Big Data

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Big Data solutions to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, scalable software solutions that align with our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable software solutions using Big Data technologies.
  • Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes to drive technology and Big Data strategy forward.
  • Collaborate with product departments to execute across the discovery, define, develop, and deliver phases, incorporating Big Data architectures where needed.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, growth, and data-driven solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the company to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging Big Data technologies, and best practices, and integrate these into our workflows.
  • Establish, implement, and promote an agile, Big Data-friendly way of working, encouraging team ownership and autonomy.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Big Data solutions, information systems, and digital transformation.
  • 2+ years in a similar technical lead position, preferably in an Azure/.NET and Big Data context.
  • 4+ years of experience as a.NET/ReactJS development engineer, focusing on the design and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems, including those that handle large-scale data processing.
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Spark.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven design, especially in high-volume data environments.
  • Solid understanding of.Net Core, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, and their application in Big Data scenarios.
  • Familiarity with Domain Design Driven architecture and patterns like event sourcing, CQRS, ports & adapters, particularly in data-heavy applications.
  • Strong understanding of agile software development life cycles (Scrum), including design, development, testing, and deployment, particularly in Big Data projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex, data-intensive issues.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills, with experience leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on Big Data initiatives.
