Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bladder functions, preparations for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care, and positioning in and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, etc.">
  • Providing nursing functions as directed by supervisor, including daily perennial care, catheter care, turning residents in bed, all bathing, measuring and recording temperature, pulse, and respiration, weighing and measuring residents, performing restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and observing and reporting the presence of skin breakdowns.">
  • Preparing patients for meals and snacks, identifying food arrangements, assisting in feeding residents as needed, recording food and fluid intake, and performing after-meal patient care as needed.">
  • Maintaining resident confidentiality, treating patients with kindness, dignity, and respect, promptly reporting all patient complaints, accidents, and incidents to the supervisor.">
  • Assisting as directed in proper admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, inventorying resident possessions, reporting food articles and medications found in patient rooms, and reporting defective equipment to administration.">
  • Understanding and using Universal Precautions and following established safety rules, ensuring cleanliness of assigned patients' rooms, properly maintaining and recording patient restraints, and promptly reporting all violations of safety and sanitation rules to the supervisor.">
  • Attending and participating in orientation, training, educational activities, and staffing meetings as requested.">

To be eligible for this position, you must have:

  • A current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or be license-eligible in the state of employment.">
