Key Responsibilities

  1. Greet guests cordially and professionally, and promote sales of inventory using promotional in-store sales and special orders.
  2. Work cooperatively with management and co-workers to develop a positive team environment and achieve desired business goals.
  3. Provide project and artist information and answer questions regarding arts and crafts, apparel, jewelry, pottery, tobacco, etc.
  4. Accurately handle all sales transactions through Point-of-Sale systems, including cash handling, travelers check verification, credit card processing, and data entry verification.
  5. Direct patrons to the proper office as appropriate to seek resolution of problems beyond the information and capabilities available to sales associates.
  6. Answer telephones politely, take and record accurate messages, and pass them to the appropriate person.
  7. Perform routine daily tasks, including re-stocking and merchandising of inventory, affixing price labels, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, and maintaining and replacing/re-stocking supplies.


Requirements

Required:
  1. High School Diploma or GED Certification.
  2. Two years retail experience.
  3. Must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server's License prior to hire date.


Working Conditions

The Sales Associate will work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for long periods of time, and walking throughout the work area. The position requires normal dexterity while performing daily tasks, and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
