Job Summary

The Biomedical Sciences program at Barry University is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences. This is a full-time position that requires expertise and experience in teaching Histology & Cell Biology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Histology & Cell Biology lecture and lab courses every semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) and at least one elective BMS course per year.
  • Academically advise 50-70 BMS graduate students as they progress through the program.
  • Participate in scholarship and research within their area of expertise, presenting and publishing on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to university governance and sit on university committees.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A doctoral-level degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or D.P.M.) in biomedical sciences is required.
  • Experience teaching Histology & Cell Biology at the graduate level is preferred.
  • The candidate must be located in or be able to relocate to the South Florida area and be present to teach lectures in person at the BMS campus.
