Coatings Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Coatings Specialist to join our team at McClarin Composites. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint coatings to products according to customer specifications.

Your Responsibilities

- Mix paints to match customer color specifications
- Apply various pigmented coatings to products in specialized paint booths with precision and attention to detail
- Clean and maintain HVLP paint system
- Maintain paint booth including filters and dirt traps
- Stage materials required for coating process
- Clean and maintain respirators
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with all environmental laws and OSHA regulations
- Train new Painters, providing feedback to the trainee and plant manager regarding performance
- Provide direction for Paint team members, assisting the production supervisor/manager as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

- HS Diploma/GED preferred or equivalent industrial experience
- Minimum 1-year experience as a painter
- Experience in auto-body painting, powder coating or other HVLP application systems preferred
