Job SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano. As a Physical Therapist, you will diagnose and treat patients with medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a full range of services and participate in team-based continuous improvement.
- Consult with other disciplines, as required, to coordinate patient care services.
- Delegate appropriately to physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides to support patient needs while maintaining accountability for the care plan.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of services provided in accordance with professional and compliance standards to ensure accurate billing and coding to maximize reimbursement and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of physical therapy.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- License to practice as a physical therapist in the State of Wisconsin.
The Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to sharp objects and instruments, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The Physical Therapist may also be exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.
