Position: Practical Nursing Specialist (PNS)

Daily Pay Available

Sign-On Bonus: $3,500 Paid Quarterly

At River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing, we are dedicated to enhancing wellness, recovery, and autonomy for every individual we serve.

We are currently seeking a Practical Nursing Specialist (PNS) to deliver direct nursing services to our residents while overseeing the daily nursing functions carried out by nursing aides.

This oversight must align with existing Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, as well as any directives from the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest quality of care.

Compensation:
Up to $33/hr.

Your earnings will consist of a base hourly rate supplemented by periodic bonuses based on facility demand.

Additional compensation includes:

- 1.5X Holiday Pay
- 1.5X Overtime Pay for hours exceeding 40 per week

Key Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Specialist (PNS):

- Monitor and manage residents' health based on individual needs.
- Provide routine care, ensure comfort, and report any changes in residents' health and behavior.

- Collect, maintain, and review patient medical histories, charts, and physical conditions, including vital signs.

- Administer medications and injections, provide wound care, perform standard diagnostic procedures, and collect and prepare specimens.

- Undertake other special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the Practical Nursing Specialist (PNS):

- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with a current state license.

- Must possess a current/active CPR certification.

- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Capability to lift fifty (50) or more pounds, as physical work constitutes a primary aspect (over 70%) of the role.

- Ability to stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours daily.

- Ability to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.

Work Schedule:

The Practical Nursing Specialist (PNS) position offers flexible hours, with options for full-time or part-time work. Shifts include days, nights, and weekends, allowing us to accommodate your schedule.
