About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Samaritan Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing basic patient care, including bathing, toileting, vital signs, and mobility assistance.
  2. Perform clerical functions, such as ordering supplies, stocking patient rooms, and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  3. Provide accurate and consistent inventory management using Meditech, and assist with stocking patient rooms and other areas as needed.
  4. Assist nursing staff/units with intra-inter-departmental communications and other duties as assigned.
  5. Perform basic duties/responsibilities, such as incentive spirometer/cough and deep breathing, oral suction, maintaining oxygen delivery, bowel care, OB peri-care, Cardiac/Apnea monitor maintenance, assist with basic procedures, and specimen collection.
  6. Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in the field.
  7. Ensure a safe work environment by following safe work practices and policies, including security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
  3. Current Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
  4. Current CNA experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  5. Knowledge of medical terminology.
  6. Current CPR certification - Healthcare Provider (HCP) level.
