About the Role

Premise Health Systems is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Georgetown, KY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Evaluate Patient Care Needs: Use your nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Conduct Nursing Assessments: Conduct a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment, and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with physicians or other licensed independent practitioners to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
  • Identify and Report Equipment Issues: Identify equipment that needs repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician.
  • Perform Occupational and Health Screening Tests: Perform occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
  • Document Patient Care: Document accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow-up care arranged.
  • Evaluate Health Education Needs: Evaluate health education/promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a physician or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Maintain medical records using electronic medical record software.
  • Ensure a Clean and Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control procedures.
  • Protect Patient Confidentiality: Maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information.
  • Participate in Follow-up Care: Participate in follow-up phone calls and follow-up patient visits.
Requirements
  • Certification and Education: Certificate from an accredited nursing school or associate's degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed registered nurse in the state of practice is required.
  • Training and Certification: Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
  • Preferred Experience: At least three years of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
