Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of New Jersey
  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
