Design Shop Advisor Job Description

Serena & Lily, a lifestyle and home furnishings brand, seeks Design Shop Advisors to create exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Stewardship: Embody the Serena & Lily Brand Ethos in all interactions.
  • Act as a brand steward in all client, designer, vendor, and coworker interactions.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inspiring client experience.
  • Provide design advice, product knowledge, and recommendations.
  • Resolve client needs quickly through swift communication and leadership partnership.
  • Drive customer retention and loyalty through order and quote follow-up.
  • Assist in receiving shipments, transfers, and merchandising.
  • Proactively engage with clientele using S&L leads.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of retail or relevant sales experience in interiors/home furnishings.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to engage with clients.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent on-brand client service and demonstrate best practices.
  • Ability to sell using product knowledge, brand inspiration, and design/decor.
  • A passion for home design and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong sense of personal style.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems and POS systems.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store.
  • Ability to operate and use all necessary equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise.

Compensation:

  • $22-26/hr depending on experience.
  • Employees are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
  • Employees can enroll in the company's 401k plan.
