Physical Security Specialist

Job Summary
The Physical Security Analyst will be responsible for conducting physical security checks of multiple areas and opening and closing activities. This role will also assist in the development, administration, and adherence to security policies and procedures for Special Access Programs (SAPs) in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to ensure compliance with the NISPOM, DoDM series, JSIG, and ICD-705.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with internal and external customers to provide guidance and support regarding their respective SAPs.
- Assist in administering security procedures related to operating in a classified environment, including physical security, opening and closing, security inspections, fixed facility checks, and personnel processing.
- Implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and proprietary test plans using risk management principles.
- Support the establishment, accreditation, and maintenance of a secure facility in accordance with ICD 705.
Requirements:
- Active and in-scope TOP SECRET security clearance.
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP access.
- Ability to work 2nd Shift until 2030/8:30pm-2100/9:00pm.
- A valid driver's license is required, as this position may involve escorting individuals across business locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a security professional supporting SAP and/or SCI programs.
- Experience with any of the following: NISPOM, DoDM series, JSIG, and/or ICD 705.
- Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
- At least 2 years of National Security experience preferred.
- Completed related training and/or certification with DCSA and/or CDSE (ex. Introduction to SAPs, ICD-705, SFPC, SPSC, PSC, etc.).
