Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist in Interventional Services plays a crucial role in assisting interventional specialists during various procedures within the realms of interventional radiology and vascular surgery. This includes, but is not limited to, oncology, vascular, and trauma cases.


The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills to manage supplies and instrumentation pertinent to interventional procedures. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in both scrub and circulating capacities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any equipment maintenance issues and monitoring supply levels.
  • Adhere to all Infection Prevention protocols, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, staying current with departmental training opportunities.
  • Exhibit courteous behavior and a positive attitude through respectful communication with colleagues and patients.
  • Understand the importance of providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow and optimizing throughput via Radiology Transport.
  • Comply with timekeeping regulations, avoiding unauthorized entries.
  • Follow departmental procedures and ensure compliance with life safety, fire, hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection prevention standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and daily huddles to stay informed on departmental updates.
Experience Requirements

1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology is preferred.

Education Requirements

Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Diagnostic Radiology, making them eligible for registry.

A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) license is required upon hire.

Special Requirements

Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.
