Salary
$45.47-$56.84 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role
The MDS Coordinator/Floor Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal regulations while providing resident care. This dual position combines clinical nursing duties with administrative responsibilities, focusing on optimal reimbursement for services provided. Collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing, you will manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and lead the resident assessment process, tracking Medicare/Managed Care/Medicaid case mix documents to secure proper reimbursement. Additionally, you will assist with resident care planning processes under the supervision of the DON or CRM.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to lead the resident assessment process.
  • Track Medicare/Managed Care/Medicaid case mix documents for accurate reimbursement.
  • Assist with resident care planning processes under the direction of the DON or CRM.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
  • Graduation from a School for Registered Nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience in an MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Nurse role.
  • Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where practicing is required.
  • Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid are necessary; Food handlers certification may be required in specific locations.
